The Oneida Indian Nation’s Police Department is teaming up with the FBI to help each other and other agencies in the nation solve crimes. Nation Police Lt. Jay Duda went to FBI headquarters in Virginia for training. He said by inputing information about a crime the system will match characteristics with other crimes around the nation, hopefully yeilding a resolution of the incident. The Nation Police Department was the first tribal agency in the U.S. and the first law enforcement agency in New York State to join the National Data Exchange Network.
