A New Hartford man faces several charges following a Robbery Prevention Security Review conducted by New Hartford Police.
Matthew Zanichelli, 37, allegedly attempted to kick in the back door of a vacant home owned by First Source Federal Credit Union.
Also found in Zanichelli's car were several tools that are commonly used to remove copper piping from buildings.
He faces charges on attempted burglary, possession of burglars tools, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal contempt for violating an active protection order.
Zanichelli was sent to the Oneida County Jail on $600 dollars cash bail or $1,000 dollars bond.
