A $7,500 Explore NY grant will help the City of Utica market downtown as a destination for arts, culture and heritage.
This is the citys' first Explore New York grant and will enhance the "Picture Yourself Downtown" project which began last year.
The money will be used to create a new website and collectively advertise arts and cultural organizations to larger markets outside the area.
Dave Cocomazzi, President of the Downtown Utica Development Association, says the project will increase awareness of the abundance, diversity and high quality of arts and cultural offerings available Downtown.
