Fatal Hit and Run Victim identified as local counselor

State Police are still looking for the man they believe was driving the vehicle involved in a fatal hit
and run accident Wednesday night on Osceola Road in the Lewis County Town of Lewis.

Police have identified the victim as 54-year old Debra Royce of Holland Patent.

They say the results of an autopsy are expected within the next several days.

Royce was a Counselor at New Hartford Psychological Services on Oxford Rd.

Police are looking for 41-year old Royce Beck of Ava.

The vehicle Beck was allegedly driving has been found and a forensic examination of the
vehicle is underway.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call State Police at 366-6000.
