One of Oneida County's Most Wanted in Custody

A Boonville man who had been listed as one of Oneida County's "10 Most Wanted" was arrested yesterday after he attempted to flee from a State Department of Environmental Conservation police officer who stopped him for riding a dirt bike without a helmet on the CSX railroad tracks in Vernon. 47-year old Paul Larrabee led the DEC officer on a brief foot chase through a wooded area after dumping the bike and then struggled with the officer before being taken into custody. Larabee, who had been wanted for Burglary since April 2009, gave Sheriff's Deputies a false name and birth date, but was identified through fingerprints. Larrabee is facing multiple charges as a result of the incident in addition to the Burglary charge and is being held in the Oneida County Jail.
